Lightweight & Durable Hardside
Structural foam-core fiberglass panels are used to create a strong, yet lightweight, camper shell. Aluminum trim is installed around the edges to protect from low-hanging branches.
Mounts Securely to the Vehicle
The camper unit mounts to the vehicle with brackets attached to the roof rack and a trailer receiver hitch rack. By using two mounting points, the camper is safely secured to the vehicle and the weight is spread out more evenly. The center of gravity of the camper is right around the rear tires.
Jack System for Easy Mounting and Dismounting
A jack system with extendable legs allows for easy mounting and dismounting. Simply remove the roof rack brackets and receiver hitch rack turnbuckles. Drop your camper off and hit the knarly trails!

Works with Most Sport Utility Vehicles
With minimal vehicle requirements, the Backwoods Camper will work with most vehicles. A receiver hitch and a roof rack capable of supporting 300 pounds is really all you need. Read about the modifications we made to the Jeep Wrangler shown in the pictures.
Spread out in the Spacious Cabover
We put our 6′ width to good use with a comfortable mattress and plenty of room to spread out.
Windows on both sides of the cabover allow for air cross-flow and the escape hatch on the roof doubles as a skylight to view the night sky before falling asleep.
